This includes;

• Editing

Changing the photo - removing unwanted distractions/people, changing backgrounds, opening eyes, correcting red eye etc.

• Creation

Making a new image from other images - creating a montage, greetings cards, adding texts, joining photos etc.

• Restoration

Repairing damage (tears, scratches  etch) or renewing age related issues (fading etc.)

• Enhancement

Typically facial enhancement where specialist software is used to remove blemishes, colour/enhance eyes, enhance features, whiten teeth etc.

Pricing can be difficult to estimate as often it is not until the process is started that an idea of how time-consuming and complex the process may be.  This is charged by units.

This includes all of the digital processes, such as scanning and balancing, but not printing.  Results will be made available to download or they can be put on pen-drives/CD ROMs if purchased separately.  Typically simple jobs take 1-2 units (eye opening, simple distractions removed) while more complex tasks can be 10 or more.

Please be aware that return postage costs will still be required to return any media you send in, even if you do not proceed with an order or it cannot be achieved.

• Open a ticket for a quotation.  Include as much information as you can and you can provide other documents as attachments (pictures, notes etc.)  Upload the image if you can (put the ticket number on the uploads).

You will receive either a quotation of how many units will be required;

or

in complex cases I may come back with an approximate estimate.  In these cases I will ask for a deposit to be paid that will be less than the actual end total.  Once the work is complete, an invoice will be issued for the total (less any deposit paid).  This method is often used in restoration as work can progress almost indefinitely, removing smaller and smaller artefacts, but you may be happy with an earlier stage of restoration and so you can stop the process when a result you are happy with is achieved, for the amount you want to pay.
